On September 11, 2009, John Liechty, Associate Professor of Marketing and Statistics at Penn State University and a founding member of the CE-NIF, presented the NIF proposal to a special follow-on session of the Gov 2.0 Summit hosted by O'Reilly Publishing in Washington, DC. Though not originally scheduled to speak, Liechty was invited to make a special presentation on this urgent topic.
